This week, we are celebrating the spirit of the season with two distinct types of dogs: the Winter Warriors, who are ready to frolic in the fresh powder, and the Professional Snugglers, who want nothing more than to help you ride out the storm from the comfort of your couch.

The Winter Warriors

If you are looking for a partner to brave the elements, look no further than Dakota. With a stunning grey and white coat, this 90-pound “snow king” is a total charmer who brings the classic Husky spirit: playful, vocal, and endlessly loyal.
The Vibe: Adores everyone, lights up around other dogs, and is gentle with kids. Needs: A fenced yard to reign supreme.
Sysco: Your Red & White Adventure Buddy 2.5-year-old Siberian Husky, Hamden, CT
For those who want to turn a snow day into an active adventure, meet Sysco. A whirlwind of energy wrapped in a striking red and white coat, he is the definition of an adventure buddy.
The Vibe: Sprints, fetch, and tug-of-war, followed by snuggling with his favorite stuffed animal. Needs: A routine-loving home (adults or older teens) that understands his sensitivities.
Goose: The Countryside Explorer 3-year-old Australian Cattle Dog Mix, Berkeley, CA
Meet Goose, a spirited girl whose tan and white coat is as speckled as a giraffe’s. She is 55 pounds of brains, goofiness, and love. While she transforms into a total snugglebug in the evenings, her heart belongs to the outdoors.
The Vibe: Thrives on group hikes but finds city noises (scooters/traffic) stressful. Needs: A rural sanctuary with a canine sibling to romp with.

Lola: The Solo Star Husky / Shepherd Mix, Urgent Placement Needed, Avondale Estates, GA
While we love finding homes, sometimes we need a bridge to get there. Lola is a stunning, high-energy girl who is in urgent need of a placement. True to her Husky roots, she is smart, loyal, and ready for action, but she needs an experienced pet parent and to be the only pet in the home to truly shine.

The Professional Snugglers

The Vibe: A “constant companion” who is friendly to strangers and good with kids. Needs: A home with a fenced yard where he can relax safely. (Willing to travel anywhere!)
Murphy: The Golden Soul 2-year-old Labrador Retriever Mix, Westminster, MA
Murphy brings a golden warmth to even the coldest winter days. Weighing in at 70 pounds, he is a vocal, expressive soul who “talks” to you with playful noises and lives for full-throttle zoomies in the yard.
The Vibe: Incredibly smart and clicker-trainable, but battles anxiety. Needs: A confident dog friend and a calm, adult-only home to build confidence.
